Open Gym

I still consider myself a newbie to this CrossFit thing. I've yet to figure out the best way I can utilize Open Gym. This week I made the mistake of asking my coach if the workout I self-programmed was challenging enough. Guess what his answer was? I planned on doing 50 sit-ups, 50 pull-ups, and 50 push-ups. He changed it to GHD Sit-Ups and Pull-Ups (10, 9, 8...3, 2, 1). My abs are still sore to the point that getting up from a seated position is painful. When I told one of the other coaches of my Open Gym experienced he laughed hysterically and said, "never ask us if what you're doing is challenging enough. No matter what, we're going to say no. My rule of thumb is to skip MetCons on Open Gym and focus on strength and mobility."

Lesson learned. Looks like more strength and mobility during Open Gym and less "hey coach...what do you think?"

Note that my abs look nothing like hers
This is what I get for listening to my coaches. Headache, dizziness, shockingly sore abs, and hatred for the GHD machine. That thing is a torture rack. Eff you GHD.
