Filthy Fifty...In Reverse

Today we did the Filthy Fifty. Only instead of the normal order, our coaches reversed it. It was easier this way! Getting the burpees and wall balls done before my body was completely shot actually made them much more manageable. Instead of one burpee at a time, I was able to get 15 out of the way right off the bat. The knees to elbows suck in any order. But overall, who knew a simple re-ordering of things would make such a huge difference? I went from a time of: 28:59 (normal order) to a time of 27:53 (reverse order).

50 Walking Lunges
50 Kettlebell Swings, 35 lbs
50 Pull Up (Jumping)s
50 Box Jumps, 24 in

Monday's WOD

Chipper: Thrusters, Run
15 Thrusters, 135 lbs
Run, 200 m
20 Thrusters, 95 lbs
Run, 400 m
30 Thrusters, 65 lbs
Run, 800 m
Total time: 16 mins 22 secs

My first time doing 135# thrusters. These were no joke. My legs took about 100 meters to recover during the run. If I'm ever to going to make significant improvements, I really need to learn how to become more efficient at running. I'm so afraid that I'm going to stumble back into the box with nothing left in reserve for the next movement that I hold back while running. This was particularly evident during the 400 meter run. I knew I was pacing myself, so I jogged rather than ran. Have I mentioned yet that I hate running?
